He picked out the yellow beret himself. It makes him look like an artist. Which is fitting, because that's what he is, in his own way. The one who notices which flowers are purple, which are pink, which have opened today and which are still waiting.
His blue shirt arrived unplanned. I wanted him to have something warm and dressed for the moment. He agreed.
The tree behind him is also an important character in this whole collection. Look at the hollow, the heart shape wasn't a decision. It just formed as I painted the bark, and I recognized it later when I took a step back.
